One of the craziest police pursuits I’ve ever seen

In Southern California, of course, a large RV that had been hijacked and was being pursued by the police. It’s a 50 minute video. Skip to about 3 minutes in to see the first crash. Skip to 14 minutes in to see the end of the pursuit. This is best watched in full screen (press Esc to escape full screen).

I post this because it’s quite an unusual one (as well as a large RV it involves a woman and a dog). Also, these live-on-air police pursuits are now a regular staple in places like California (because they get a huge amount of viewers), which brings in the bread and circuses aspect of it. And the last ‘also’ is the huge volume of roads and traffic in parts of the world like this – the LA freeways are a wonder to behold.

    Rob, Lunacy in America.
Nothing that goes on in America would surprise me.

Mind you, things seem crazy in France these days.

Hello Rob, the news today in Dear Old Blighty is that President Macron has asked King Charles not to come to France as France is in Utter Chaos.

Hi Rob, it is a bit crazy, lots of places, at the moment, not just FRANCE.
U.K. inflation is now at 10.4%.
They have just raised BoE base rate to the highest level since the banking collapse of 2008. This might mean a collapse of the housing market as people can’t pay their loans down.
Swiss and German banks going tits up.

    Crazy times in Europe.

U.K. to send tanks to Ukraine these will be firing Uranium tipped shells, in response Mr. Putin is to base nukes in Bylerussia, as well as troops and aircraft.

United Kingdom State pension age rise to 68 will not be brought forward yet,
mainly because of the example of FRANCE

Time for an update from the front line, Rob

United Kingdom passport office today starts a five week strike.
It seems like a battle of wills, with the workers, usually state workers, against the government. Private sector jobs rarely strike, these days in the U.K.
